Hi! It is now 1:40 PM EST for me. As usual, I spent a few hours looking for another music video. I wanted something relaxing. Instead of music videos, I have decided to offer you something I found in youtube.com called ’17 CALM MOVIE SOUNDTRACKS(for relaxing or studying)’. Just search for phrase ‘relaxing movie soundtracks’ in www.youtube.com, and it should be the 1st selection offered to you. A listing of what songs are played is located below the youtube video screen. Sorry, but I couldn’t find just a music video that was calm, so, for now on, I am using the new option of also presenting just music selections. Of course, I only plan on giving you one song, but since this is my 1st time using this new option, so to speak, you can choose which songs you want to listen to from those 17 movie soundtracks. I haven’t listened to the soundtrack myself. I just clicked through several video stills.

Can:

I invented this idea to help maintain the use of certain expectations that have already been chosen to use, even when the familiarity of those expectations are disparaged, diminished, or inhibited somewhat throughout the course of your work or school day. This idea, refurbished, of course, reminds me of the movie ‘Arrival(2016)’, when a team that includes linguist Louise Banks(Amy Adams) are communicating with the aliens, they would bring with them a bird in a cage. I believe that bird is used to determine if the air is breathable. So, what this idea does is help you imagine an indicator in the form of an aluminum can that helps you determine what type of exposure your chosen expectations are going through as it relates to instigations and inadvertencies.

To help set the pace for this advice, I am going to use a refurbished example from the animated series ‘The Simpsons’. The episode is 6.13 ‘And Maggie Makes Three’, and the illustration is at the end of the episode. Instead of using it’s tv show reference, I’m going to use www.wikipedia.org to reference that episode. Just search for phrase ‘and maggie makes three’ in wikipedia.org’s search engine, and you should find a detailed description of the episode. Here is a quote of the illustration:

‘In the episode, Mr. Burns places a “de-motivational plaque” in Homer’s station that reads “Don’t forget: you’re here forever”. Homer then places photos of Maggie around the plaque to alter it into saying “Do it for her”.’

This scene is often regarded as one of the most heart-warming moments in the show’s history.’

Wikipedia also shows you the image of the plaque that is altered. That illustration represents an aluminum can that has no dents on it. Let’s say that the can with no dents on it represents the strength that people who work have from family, for example, a person who is married with kids.

Let’s say that, as an example, a businessman’s work day includes using public transportation, and he is exposed to certain odd moments from time to time, and of course there are a few issues in his job related situations. When you imagine what that man goes through in one work day, and you allow his chosen expectations to be individually represented by an aluminum can, and I am just guessing here, that can easily mean that there are thousands of aluminum cans involved in that evaluation. I notice that, many times when someone would let’s say ‘squish’ one of those cans, the can would disappear and be replaced by another can, meaning that the man changed somewhat his original use of expectations because one of those expectations was discouraged to be noticed.

Now, that man in the 1st example wasn’t using the ‘Can’ evaluation. The ‘Can’ idea was just used to evaluate him. In this 2nd example, a man chooses now and then to think about the ‘Can’ idea. The difference between the man in the 1st example and the man in this 2nd example is that this man is able to maintain the use of his originally chosen expectations more, even though such expectations may be disparaged, discouraged, or inhibited. When that happens to this man, he imagines an aluminum can experiencing some dents, and it even looks like the can is partially being crushed by an invisible hand. However, even though such a can goes through such a beating, by being able to imagine that can using the ‘Can’ idea, he can still maintain his original chosen expectations that can represents. For example, while at work, even though dogs aren’t allowed at work, a lady brought a St. Bernard(wikipedia.org has a description) to his job, and conceptually, that dog was chewing one of those aluminum cans. When the lady noticed, she apologized, and caused the dog to walk up to him and give back his can. The point is that, even though the dog chewed the can up, he was still able to ‘see’ that aluminum can, which means he was still able to maintain his originally chosen expectations, even though that St. Bernard chewed one of them up, so to speak.

So, if you choose to use this ‘Can’ idea for yourself, I believe you will be more able to maintain the use of your originally chosen expectations, even though a few of those expectations may look like a damaged aluminum can, so to speak.
