Odin!(I’m trying to present a name of a god in mythology as a greeting) Here’s the music video I found I think less than an hour ago. It’s song is called ‘Thank You’ written and performed by English singer-songwriter Dido. Here are 2 quotes from www.wikipedia.org about the song ‘Thank You’ and it’s music video:
‘”Thank You” reached a peak position of number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in April 2001, becoming Dido’s first and only top three single in the United States.’
‘In the video, Dido has not paid her bills, and the government comes to tear down her house. The construction workers put an eviction notice on her door and move her things out. Dido, who seems oblivious to the fact that her house has been barricaded, is seen simply singing the song.’
I call Dido’s performance in the video an ‘eye of the storm’. Here’s the definition from www.wiktionary.org:
‘A region of calm weather right in the middle of a storm.’
I like the ballad, and the close ups of Dido’s face in the music video, but I don’t like the demolition situation Dido is in. I call the presentation of the music video ‘Thank You’ a compromise, since Dido does present herself and the song in a calm manner.
To see the music video ‘Thank You’ for free, go to www.youtube.com, and search for phrase ‘dido thank you’. It should be the 1st selection offered, with over 71 million views.
Take:
I’m finally going to finish explaining idea ‘Take’, the idea I started in Wishlist #1092. The ‘bad’ news is that I only remember 3 of the ‘Take’ ideas. The ‘good’ news is that those 3 ideas are the ones that I am actively using. Next time, if I plan to postpone an idea, I’ll type in this blog the idea’s main parts so that I can remember what those parts are. Live and learn, I suppose. The 3 ideas are: 1)’Take with disappoint’, 2)’Take not intent’, and 3)’Take avert’.
Take with disappoint(ment):
Idea ‘Take with disappoint(ment)’ I think was the 1st ‘Take’ idea I invented as a direct result of me finding out that one of my items was missing that I purchased from the ‘drive-thru’, so to speak. As soon as I discovered that, I was contemplationally angry. I didn’t lose my temper, but I was upset by it. So, when I recalled the incident, I believed that the people I imagined who were involved did not just want to remove the item I tried to purchase. They also wanted to contemplationally take me to experience that particular disappointment with them. That’s how I made the name ‘Take with disappointment’. They wanted me to make sure that, once I discovered that the item was missing, they wanted me to have something to connect the dots with.
Soon after inventing ‘Take with disappoint(ment)’, I also used the idea to describe the possibility of someone causing you to look at certain faults(flaw, failing: a fault in one’s character) that you may have in order for you to not notice the obvious faults that such a person who is imposing such an experience upon you may have. For example, if you are walking within the proximity of such a person, that person may mildly insult you to cause you to look at certain faults that you may have as a decoy so that you don’t look at the faults that such a person may have. Once you know that such a thing is happening to you, you may learn to be more objective about such an experience. In the next list, I plan to explain idea ‘Compile answer’, which should allow you to allocate such an experience.
Take not intent:
1st, I want to present an illustration. It’s somewhat desperate, but it may be useful to you. In episode 1.23 ‘Flashpoint’ from animated series ‘Justice League Unlimited(2005)’, according to Amazon Video, the illustration begins 9 minutes and 33 seconds into the episode. Here is a quote:
J’onn:-‘…and there is strong evidence of Cadmus having legitimate connections to the government.’
Superman:-‘Maybe, to some rogue black ops group. The real government wouldn’t get involved in anything like this.’
You can also find that quote in www.imdb.com.
According to www.imdb.com, Lex Luthor is trying to eliminate Project Cadmus and frame the Justice League. The point of that quote is that Superman is able to make a fortified sense of intent distinction based on the obvious obligations the Justice League has made with the United States versus Project Cadmus. According to Superman, the ‘real’ government wouldn’t get involved with Project Cadmus.
The 2nd illustration example is from comic book Iron Man(1998-2004) #71 ‘Vegas Bleeds Neon’ Part 2( of 3). It’s print release date is August 13, 2003. You can find the comic book in web site www.comixology.com. It only costs about 2 bucks when tax is included. To find it, just search for phrase ‘iron man 71’ in www.comixology.com, and it should be one of the top search results. You can also search for phrase ‘iron man’, and in the ‘Series’ category, click ‘View More’. At the bottom selection, select ‘The Invincible Iron Man Unlimited(1998-2004)’ one. Go to the bottom, and select page 3. There you should find ‘Iron Man #71’.
After you purchased it, select ‘Read’, and at the bottom of your browser’s reader, select ‘1 Page’ and ‘Browse Pages’. After clicking ‘Browse Pages’, wait for the page images to show, then select page 8. That is when Tony Stark is demonstrating his ‘Ablative Armor Mark I’ suit. At the bottom of your browser, click ‘Guided View’ so that you can zoom in and read the comic book. Click the right and left arrows located at the middle right and left of your computer screen to move from image to image. The illustration from ‘Iron Man #71’ is highly recommended for you to understand idea ‘Take not intent’.
Since it’s so important, I’m going to quote most of the words from page 8. In that page, Tony Stark is demonstrating how his ‘Ablative Armor Mark I’ suit works. Every time I would make a new paragraph for Stark to comment, it’s also to show that a separate comic book image is used to go with that comment:
Tony Stark:-‘It’s a prototype–the Ablative Armor Mark I. Ablative, meaning that it’s meant to be degraded as it gets hit. See those tiles honeycombing the surface? They’re layered on…Each tile’s made of a high-impact polymer. When one gets damaged, it pops off, and the next one below it snaps into place.’
Tony Stark:-‘I designed it for space exploration in impact-rich environments, like asteroid fields…comet tails…particle storms…Here, give it your best fast ball(Stark gives a rock to a lady to throw at his suit).
Stark:-‘Normally a thrown rock couldn’t hurt it, but I’ve turned down the force field so you can see how it works.’
Stark:-‘That structure on the back’s a polymer kiln–it cooks up new tiles, as needed.’
Stark:-‘The suit’s force field system then grabs the new tiles and shoots them back into place. It’s less robust than the standard model, but if I get hit with more armor-absorbing goo, I can just eject the bad tiles and keep on going.’
Stark:-‘It(the suit’s force field) can also generate an orbiting wall of tiles as chaff to knock out incoming projectiles. Cool, huh?’
So, if you looked at the actual comic book illustration, each comment is associated with it’s own comic book image. If you reasonably can, I highly recommend that you buy the 2 dollar comic book to see those images. And, of course, I’m not making any money from those comic book purchases.
So, soon after experiencing the fact that one of my items was missing from the drive-thru, so to speak, and I’m not going to drive all the way back to get it, so to speak, I experienced this sense of intent that was not my own. It was like those responsible that I imagined ‘took’ my chosen sense of intent and replaced it with a sense of intent that was not preferred by me. That instigation effect is what I call ‘Take not intent’.
When you use this idea, don’t take it too seriously. It’s designed to give you more contemplation room. For example, if an instigation caused you to have a sense of intent that was not preferred that took a little while to be removed or become more manageable, this idea, if you decide to use it, may allow you to more tenably work with that non preferred sense of intent without needing to change it so much, or even allow you to change your sense of intent more noticeably. Also, this is the idea I was talking about that could change your perspective for the better. However, I recommend that you don’t make any major commitments with it with others. It’s just designed to help you more tenably experience unavoidable instigation. For example, you use this idea directly to make a minor commitment with another person at school or work, but you find out later that you cannot honor that commitment. I want you to avoid such mistakes.
So, using the illustrations from Iron Man #71, each tile made from Iron Man’s suit could represent a possible sense of intent, so when the sense of intent you are using is adversely affected by an instigation, you simply choose another sense of intent, like choosing another tile. To start you off, I recommend choosing tiles by using a Q*Bert avatar. Q*Bert is a character from the Q*Bert video game that jumps from tile to tile. Refurbished with inapproprieities removed, you can imagine being Q*Bert jumping from tile to tile, as it is demonstrated in that Iron Man #71 comic book, and every time you jump onto a new tile, you’re using a new sense of intent. For a demonstration of a video game Q*Bert jumping on tiles for free, there’s an entire game recorded in www.youtube.com. You can just click on various places in that recording to see different variations of Q*Bert jumping from tile to tile, with the inapproprieities removed, of course. To see that illustration, just search for phrase ‘qbert playstation full game’, and it should be the 1st selection offered to you. According to it’s intro screen, it has 3:31:10 of recording for a Playstation Q*Bert game. Use the preview provided to decide which scene(s) to watch.
Take avert:
[I am going to stop now to eat, relax, and do other stuff. I plan to finish this idea next Saturday, or maybe a day before next Saturday. I also plan to start the new ideas next Saturday called ‘Not pursue’, ‘Not expanse’, ‘Compile discomfort anticipate’, ‘Compile answer’, and ‘Compile anticipate’. I’ll also probably have new ideas by the time next Saturday arrives. So, if you are reading the blog at next Saturday, whether or not that you are, I plan to type new ideas next Saturday.

Greetings! 1st, I want to recommend to you a music video. The music video is from the song ‘Stay’ by American singer-songwriter Lisa Loeb. I just picked the music video from youtube.com 10 or so minutes ago. The 1st time I watched it, I imagined that I was reading something that was distracting me, a golf club magazine, as I allowed a lady represented by Lisa Loeb in the music video to talk to me, and I didn’t realize until later that she was talking to me in the form of a song! Soon after, I just imagined the casual instigations and inadvertencies I experienced from women strangers I would be exposed to while using public transportation and while I am going to and from work, I would imagine these women that I don’t even know singing to me that ‘Stay’ song. And just before I started typing these words in, I wanted to recommend music video ‘Stay’ for those of you who didn’t like and also wanted to recover from the ‘Thank You’ video by Dido that I recommended to you last week. I was going to say ‘Don’t worry. There are no buildings being demolished as far as I can tell in the ‘Stay’ music video.’, no pun(the use of words or phrases to exploit ambiguities and innuendoes in their meaning, usually for humorous effect; a play on words.) intended. And so, to help you decide whether or not you should watch the music video ‘Stay’, here are some quotes from www.wikipedia.org concerning the song ‘Stay’ and it’s music video:
‘After being featured in the film Reality Bites, “Stay (I Missed You)” entered the US Billboard Hot 100 in early April 1994. The song climbed the charts and eventually went to number one. Because of this, Loeb earned the distinction of being the first artist to top the U.S. charts before being signed to any record label.[15] For over 19 years, Loeb was only artist to have this distinction…’
‘The music video, directed by Ethan Hawke and released in 1994, begins with a cat on a chair, then zooms out to Loeb (wearing a forest green dress and tortoiseshell glasses) [22]singing the lyrics while walking around in the empty New York City apartment in which she lived at the time. No audio, visual or green screen effects were used through very basic and simple video. It has two continuous camera shots of Loeb in an apartment.’

‘According to VH1 show Pop-Up Video, the video was filmed in just two separate takes.’
I forgot to mention where to watch for free ‘Stay’ by Lisa Loeb. Just search for phrase ‘stay lisa loeb’ in web site www.youtube.com. It should be the 1st selection offered to you. It has almost 1.5 million views.
There’s been a change of plans. Because of the hype that I imagine is associated with the ‘Take’ ideas, I choose to not explain ‘Take avert’, and instead explain an idea I invented recently called ‘Not solve’, and then ‘Compile discomfort anticipate’, and if I have time today, a few more bookmarks leading to idea ‘Pain understand’. I plan to explain these new ideas in this list.
Not solve:
This is an idea created from idea ‘Contemplation effort to resolve’, which was recommended to you in Wishlist #1092. Instead of being called ‘Contemplation effort to resolve’, this idea is called ‘Contemplation effort to ‘not’ resolve’. That means that the instigation this idea is meant to identify is trying to contemplationally impose upon you and unresolved sense of identity, like a puzzle or enigma, to cause you to interact with such an unresolved sense of identity, to cause you to try to resolve it.
The solution is to be able to objectively identify the unresolving identity, which means you have the option to not interact with it, to not need to resolve it. Here’s an example. Let’s say 2 kids, a brother and a sister, are in a room. The sister tosses a tennis ball to the brother. Let’s say that the tennis ball represents an unresolving identity. As the ball is approaching the brother, the brother stops the tennis ball from approaching him. For a while, the tennis ball just floats in the air. The tennis ball finally just drops to the ground, not reaching it’s original destination. That represents that the brother chose not only to not resolve such an unresolving identity, but he also chose not to interact with it. That is why the ball stopped, and then fell to the ground. I call the ability to more objectively evaluate unresolving identities ‘Not solve’. Since I am assuming you have already learned the ‘Blink’ idea introduced to you at the beginning of this blog, you should be able to easily allocate such an unresolving identity, for example, if you believe it is not relevant to actually resolve, especially since it’s intensity identity is probably amped up, you may choose to just ‘blink’ it out.
Another example of using ‘Not solve’ is when instigations adversely encourage you to contemplationally immerse yourself in problems that such instigations encourage you to think about, but you are not ready to interact with such problems. More to the point, you did not originally choose to interact with such issues. You can use ‘Not solve’ to more tenably allocate such contemplation inclinations. Here’s a question I use sometimes to evaluate such issues:
‘If it’s a problem for you, then what chance do I have of resolving it?’
Also, the ‘issues’ were introduced as part of an instigation to begin with. You can also use ‘Impression of expectation meaning is not thinking it through’, which was introduced in Wishlist #1047. Just because an instigation encourages you to be aware and to think about certain issues, doesn’t automatically mean that you are also prepared to resolve such issues.
Compile discomfort anticipate:
This is the best illustration I can think of for this idea. There are probably better examples, even for standard demographic advice, but it’s the best one that I am aware of. The illustration is in movie ‘As Good as It Gets(1997)’ starring Jack Nicholson as Melvin Udall and Helen Hunt as Carol Connelly. The illustration, according to Amazon Video rental, starts 12 minutes into the movie, when Carol is talking to Melvin amongst the other waitresses. Here is the quote:
Carol:-‘This once, you can sit at someone else’s station.’
That is when all of the other waitresses that are there gasped simultaneously as they turned around to face Carol with an obvious expression of disapproval with what she had just said. The illustration is highly recommended by me to be watched.
Now, even if you did not see the rest of the movie, I believe many of you can extrapolate from that illustration. Also, I’m going to offer you a refurbished reason why those waitresses did that. Here’s the imagined by me story: Simply put, all of those waitresses have served Mr. Udall in the past, and he caused almost all of them to experience discomfort, a discomfort which caused them to feel angry at home, an anger that they did not want to feel. Miss Connelly is the only waitress that chooses to still serve Mr. Udall.
So, the point of ‘Compile discomfort anticipate’ for the context of instigation is to not allow the discomforts that you may feel because of being exposed to instigation to turn into anger. Of course, I am not saying that experiencing some private anger is a bad thing. Back in amazon.com, I invented an idea called ‘Just because a person gets upset or even angry, doesn’t necessarily mean that such a person did anything wrong.’ What I am saying is that it could benefit you if you can manage instigation induced discomfort, especially if such discomfort is also causing you to get angry. I called this idea ‘Compile discomfort anticipate’ because the discomfort may be sensed as a compiling sense of discomfort that also adversely affects how you use anticipation.
Pain angry:
This is still a continuation of idea ‘Compile discomfort anticipate’. Soon after inventing ‘Compile discomfort anticipate’, I chose to use ‘Pain angry’ as a phrase to say in my thoughts just to check that my discomforts that are instigation related do not lead into contemplations of anger. To help clarify the use of idea ‘Pain angry’, look at the ‘As Good As It Gets’ illustration again with the waitresses. Their way of avoiding getting angry again is to simply no longer serve food to Mr. Udall again. Now, when you’re using ‘Pain angry’, I am assuming it’s for instigation that you cannot avoid experiencing. I recommend that you use ‘Pain angry’ as a generalistic idea, like people passing through metal detectors. If you want an illustration of people going through metal detectors, there’s one in beginning of movie ‘The Next Three Days(2010)’ starring Russell Crowe, where family members, friends, and other people are visiting people who are in jail. It doesn’t have to be used only when you experience the instigation. You can use it to generalistically check. When you say ‘Pain angry’ in your thoughts, for example, use it in a context that is not just blame. Use it in a context that is just calmly checking, like prevention. If that is your intent, then even though your sense of intent may not be preferred, thanks to idea ‘Take not intent’, you are simply using a sense of intent that is reasonably conducive, not the sense of intent that you are experiencing. You just can’t sense your preferred sense of intent at that moment. Of course, you still know what it is, and that is the sense of intent that you are using, even though you cannot sense that preferred sense of intent at that moment.
And if that doesn’t work, you can just choose not to use ‘Pain angry’. You don’t have to keep using the idea. And, of course, I believe the idea ‘Take not intent’ works for many situations depending upon the expectations you are using. After all, you are still learning how to use the idea. Also, you are still learning to use your sense of contemplation courtesy as it relates to new ideas. In other words, the fundamental logic of the idea makes sense to you. However, your chosen use of contemplation courtesy as it relates to using new ideas is still being learned. Well, anyway, I tried to explain it.
So, here’s a refurbished illustration example for using ‘Pain angry’. Since you may have rented ‘As Good as It Gets’, let’s use that movie again. The illustration, according to Amazon movie rental, starts 12 minutes and 16 seconds into the movie. Mr. Udall is talking to the 2 customers at the table he wants to sit on. The actors are Peter Jacobson and Lisa Edelstein. Here is a quote:
Mr. Udall:-‘How much more you got to eat?’
Mr. Udall:-‘Appetite’s aren’t as big as your noses, huh?’
After Mr. Udall insulted the noses of the customers, they both decided to leave.
Anyway, with inapproprieities removed, of course, just imagine that Mr. Udall is talking to you. It’s just imagined. So, when he says the 1st line, ‘How much more you got to eat?’, just think the phrase ‘Pain angry’ or ‘Discomfort angry’ to make sure that your minor discomfort does not turn into anger. When he says the 2nd phrase to you, ‘Appetite’s aren’t as big as your noses, huh?’, use the phrase ‘Pain angry’ or ‘Discomfort angry’ to check again that your discomfort does not turn into anger. And that’s it!
Here is a question for the advice: ‘Why do I have to experience discomfort in the 1st place?’
The idea for using ‘Pain angry’ or ‘Discomfort angry’ is to simply help you manage your sense of discomfort better, in case the instigator is improperly trying to turn your sense of discomfort into anger, which, in my opinion, Melvin Udall from the movie ‘As Good as It Gets’ is very good at.
So, basically, you will probably experience discomfort, but you may not get angry because of it.
In the movie ‘As Good as It Gets’, some of the things that Mr. Udall says to people are inexcusable. Of course, I didn’t reference those illustrations. I am saying that this ‘Pain angry’ idea can be very useful to you, but keep in mind that not all instigations have to involve an actual discussion. The instigator does not even have to talk to you to instigate you! A lot of the instigations I experienced were from strangers that wanted to show me the instigation. There was no agreed upon discussion involved. Also, you will probably find other moments in your past experiences that ‘Pain angry’ may still be useful to you, such as inadvertencies, and other experiences that may take you some time to explain, or maybe you can’t explain those certain moments at all! I just wanted to clear that up, so to speak.
[Even though I’m pretty much finished explaining for this list, I still have to proofread it and add it’s disclaimers. Next Saturday, I plan to finish this idea and start a new idea. Based on past performance, the next idea could be a new idea I will invent within the next 7 days, or it will be an idea I already planned to give you. So, if you choose to, I guess I’ll see you next Saturday.
7/22/2017
Salutations! It is now 10:43 AM for me. Sorry about last week. I had some sort of lower back and leg muscle cramp last week, and I had to take 2 days off from work. I was typing ‘that(last weeks’s advice)’ in last week while I was experiencing such discomfort. I’m better now.
Before I proofread this, I want to clear a few things up. 1st, the ‘Odin!’ greeting. Of course, there is Odin portrayed by celebrity Anthony Hopkins in the ‘Thor’ movies. Anthony Hopkins portraying Odin is what allowed me to use the name ‘Odin’ as a greeting. It’s kind of obvious that I have been avoiding the use of the word ‘He-llo’ as a greeting, because of that ‘He-llo’ fiasco some time ago, which I am still trying to fix. I just don’t want this blog to be just about fixing ‘He-llo’. And so, what I did to add some variety to the greeting monotony was use the name ‘Odin’ as a greeting. Although this was not my final fortified use of decision, I originally got the idea of using ‘Odin’ as a greeting from episode 1.8 ‘Come to Jesus’ from fantasy mystery tv show ‘American Gods(2017)’. I have that episode still in the tivo? player I am using. If you are using cable tv, your cable provider may still have those ‘American Gods’ episodes available for you to watch. If you choose to watch that ‘American Gods’ scene in Amazon, Amazon.com allows you to watch it for free for 7 days. To watch it for free, when you go to ‘American Gods’ in Amazon.com, it will ask if you would want to try using the ‘STARZ’ channel for free for 7 days. Just enroll in it, then go to ‘Account & Lists’ at the upper right hand corner of your Amazon.com screen, and in the category ‘Your Account’, click ‘Your Account’, and then in category ‘Memberships and subscriptions’, click ‘Amazon Channels’. You may have to type in your Amazon.com password again. In the category ‘Your Channels’, just cancel your ‘STARZ’ membership. Amazon should still allow you to watch those ‘American Gods’ episodes, even though you cancelled your trial period within a few minutes after enrolling in it. In my opinion, it’s better to cancel as soon as reasonably possible. That way, you don’t have to remember to do it later.
I didn’t recommend ‘American Gods’ before because it has obvious mature themes in it that I do not want used for standard demographic advice. Just use the references I will recommend, and remove the inapproprieities. For example, there are scenes in the show that you may find unsettling. For example, there’s this lady in the show that is like the lady in tv show ‘iZombie(2015+), except that she may be unsettling to watch at times, because her physical condition is not as stable as the main character in the ‘iZombie’ show. You don’t need to see that for this advice.
The illustration according to Amazon.com for 1.8 ‘Come to Jesus’ from show ‘American Gods’ starts 53 minutes and 10 seconds into the episode, when Mr. Wednesday(Ian McShane) is about to tell Shadow Moon(Ricky Whittle) who he is. There’s a lot of special effects in that scene as Mr. Wednesday explains to Shadow Moon that he is Odin. I thought that such an illustration would help the kids with their ‘He-llo’ grievances. Soon after that in that episode, if you want to, you can watch Easter(Kristin Chenoweth) take back Spring, with the inapproprieities removed, of course. When you watch those scenes, I recommend that you turn the Amazon.com screen into a ‘fullscreen’. The option is located at the upper right hand of the Amazon screen, the one with the arrows pointing diagonally. Also, turn off the subtitles, and move the cursor out of the way, so that the ‘X-ray’ option is not shown. That way, the Amazon screen is clear when you watch that scene.
The 2nd thing I want to address is how I got the Q*Bert idea. I got the idea from the movie ‘Pixels(2015)’ starring Adam Sandler as Brenner. If you rent the movie to see Q*Bert, keep in mind that aliens depicted in that movie created that Q*Bert. Q*Bert is originally a video game character. So, when the aliens turned their Q*Bert into an attractive lady, keep in mind that it is not the actual Q*Bert that was changed. It was their alien version of Q*Bert. I’m going to proofread and add the disclaimers now.
I forgot to mention that, if this is happening, the reason adults who attended college may find that ‘Odin’ scene interesting to watch is because it is associated with sci-fi portrayals of gods talking about existentialism. If you attended college, you probably had to take a few humanities courses.
I forgot to mention that there is a ‘3rd’ thing. The 3rd thing I wanted to mention is that I discovered ‘Iron Man #71’ from a CD that had many ‘Iron Man’ comic books in it. According to Amazon, I bought that CD comic book collection on July 16, 2009. The CD is called ‘The Invincible Iron Man: The Complete Collection’ from GIT Corp. I didn’t buy ‘Iron Man #71’ as a printed comic book. I read many of the ‘Iron Man’ comic books, but not all of them. In case you want to know, GIT Corp was also promoting the offering of the older ‘Thor’ comic books, but that was cancelled. If memory serves, not being able to read those ‘Thor’ comic books was a big disappointment to me.
Violence and some viewer discretion for animated series ‘Justice League Unlimited’ and the ‘Iron Man’ comic books. Some viewer discretion for music video ‘Thank You’ by Dido. Some viewer discretion for sci-fi movie ‘Pixels’. TV-MA mature themes violence and viewer discretion for sci-fi fantasy mystery ‘American Gods’. Violence and viewer discretion for movie ‘As Good as It Gets’. Use only refurbished for advice references recommended. Throw away rest of episode, series, movie, music video, and comic book. [Use mental bookmarks ‘Take with disappointment’, ‘Cadmus is not the real government(You contemplationally say that for certain instigations you may experience at school or work)’, ‘Take not intent’, ‘Not solve’, ‘Discomfort angry’, and ‘Pain angry’ for reference, allocation, and prevention when needed.
