2/24/2018

I am Grey. I stand between the candle and the star. We are Grey. We stand between the darkness and the light.

(Grey Council greeting from sci-fi tv show ‘Babylon 5’ said as a greeting).

It is now 10:40 AM EST for me. I invented an idea 2/21/2018, just a few days ago. I think that many of you will use it. However, if you are experiencing consistent mild to moderate instigation, and you use the idea a lot, then I have to give you this idea first to help you with the possible feedback/recoil you may experience from the instigations you may be experiencing. The recoil from such instigations may cause you to lose some sleep, and this idea is designed to help you recover from such a recoil. But before I start explaining the idea, earlier today I was trying to decide what music video I was going to recommend to you that could help you with losing some sleep because of instigation. I have decided to recommend to you 2 music videos. Recently, I went over their lyrics and what www.wikipedia.gov said about them. So, the idea is that, if you are having trouble sleeping because of some mild to moderate instigation you recently experienced, then, along with using the advice in this list, you would choose which song to think about. Since I am offering you 2 to use, it may feel like the 2 songs are competing in your mind as to which song you should think about. I believe that is a good thing, because you want something to help you ‘snap out of it’, so that you can go back to sleep.

The 1st music video is from song ‘Let Me Go’ by American rock band ‘3 Doors Down’. The single was released in February 2005, and reached number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Modern Rock Tracks  charts. It was originally intended for the film Spider-Man 2 but withheld. Here is a quote about www.wikipedia.org about the music video:

‘…but her secret night job as a stripper shows a different side. Her boyfriend, upon witnessing her secret life, acts coldly and eventually breaks up with her. The rest of the video shows them both showing remorse over this hasty decision.’

Keep in mind that I am recommending that you watch music video ‘Let Me Go’ to help you to not lose too much sleep because of an instigation. So, when you use it, including it’s song, the 2 actors that are portraying 2 teenagers that broke up from their relationship, Jodi Lyn O’Keefe(Nash Bridges) and Jesse Metcalfe, when you watch the music video, refurbished for advice of course, they’re acting like 2 people that are choosing to interact with too much excessive validations, when the validations are in regards as to how they interact with each other. To watch music video ‘Let Me Go’ for free, search for phrase ‘let me go 3 doors down’ in www.youtube.com, and it should be the 1st selection offered, the one with over 30 million views. Oh, I forgot to mention that, even though the music video is not explicit(described or shown in realistic detail), it still shows the teenage girl portrayed by Jodi Lyn O’Keefe dancing in a strip club. That is the reason why her ex-boyfriend chose to break up with her. Here’s what I think is the memorable quote from the song ‘Let Me Go’:

‘You love me but you don’t know who I am
I’m torn between this life I lead and where I stand
And you love me but you don’t know who I am
So let me go
Let me go’

I forgot to mention that I got the music video ‘Let Me Go’ from tv show ‘Total Request Playlist’ on 1/23/2018. The cable tv channel was called ‘MTV Classic’, and it was the 1st time I saw that music video.

The 2nd music video is from song ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ by American singer and rapper Fergie. I recorded the music video from tv show ‘Lunch Break’ from cable tv channel ‘MTV Classic’ on 2/21/2018, and it was also the 1st time that I can recall ever watching such a music video. After 12 weeks of fluctuating in the top five, the song reached the summit of the Hot 100 on the week of September 8, 2007. Here is what I think the memorable quote is from the song:

‘I hope you know, I hope you know
That this has nothing to do with you
It’s personal, myself and I
We’ve got some straightenin’ out to do’

Again, refurbished for advice, the music video and song is used to help you go back to sleep. So, when you would recall it, I recommend you listen to it as a woman who seems to be doing a lot of complaining, complaining in a context that is reasonably compatible to your difficulty to sleep situation. (What’s wrong with making the music video and song useful?) When Fergie sings the lyrics-

‘I hope you know, I hope you know
That this has nothing to do with you
It’s personal, myself and I
We’ve got some straightenin’ out to do’

she seems to be very focused and catchy about it, focused and catchy in a context that may be useful to you.

So, to reiterate, when you choose to use those 2 songs and music videos, it may feel like they are competing to get your attention, to see which one you will choose to recall.

To watch the music video, if you have cable tv, you could try looking for it from channel ‘MTV Classic’. You can also search for phrase ‘big girls don’t cry fergie’ in www.youtube.com, and it should be one of the 1st selections offered, the one with over 139 million views.

OK! Before I describe the meaning of this bookmark, I will 1st describe one of it’s elements, the ‘excessive validation’ part. I invented this idea from one of the music videos I was fast forwarding through that I copied from the cable tv service I am using. The music video is from the song ‘Be With You’ by Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias. I am not recommending that you watch music video ‘Be With You’. I didn’t watch the entire video. I did, however, look at the lyrics and it’s www.wikipedia.org article. I got the video from tv show ‘Lunch Break’ on 2/22/2018, and I fast forward through it I think yesterday on 2/23/2018. To use the music video as a reference, search for phrase ‘be with you enrique iglesias video’ on www.youtube.com, and it should be the 1st selection offered, with over 2 million views.

To build up for it, I think it’s when the music video starts repeatedly using the words ‘I got to be with you somehow’. I think that starts 2 minutes and 2 seconds into the music video. It was while I was looking at that scene when I thought of this idea: Without using too many obvious words(I did not use that many obvious words when I was contemplationally making the idea), I thought of certain instigations improperly imposing adverse, excessive validations in a context that would cause an innocent person to make validations to use, but in an excessive context, sort of like a teenager trying to ‘fit in’ with some sort of faster than he/she is used to pace of crowd. And that’s when I imagined a woman talking about Enrique Iglesias to another woman, as if Enrique Iglesias was either a man she was in a relationship with, or he was close friends with her. She was pointing out to the other woman that, even though Enrique was not able to keep up with certain faster paced interactions, for the more sedentary participations, like being in that music video, he does very well in such situations. And since the music video was illustrating Enrique Iglesias reaching out to that woman several times, while watching the video, I used that reach to demonstrate to myself that Enrique Iglesias was able to do very well with that specific validation, even though it is sedentary, and not excessively hasty.

So, if you extrapolate from that thought I had with the 2 women talking, you may be able to make a possible deduction, that such a thought can be used to help people realize that certain instigations may cause you to adversely pursue hasty, excessive validations, when in reality, you can create reasonable validations, even though such possibly sedentary validations do not meet the approval of the hasty, excessive validations that instigators may improperly impose upon you to commit to. I also just a few minutes ago thought of that ‘I got to be with you somehow’ to be a little like that scene near the end of sci-fi horror movie ‘Altered States(1980)’, when Dr. Edward Jessup(William Hurt) was fighting the transformation he was going through.

All right! Now, before I give you the actual name of the idea, I want to 1st describe to you the 3 illustrations associated with that idea. That way, the transition may still be a little rough, but I believe that it’s still an acceptable idea to be used in a standard demographic context. It’s just that I have never taught such an idea before. It’s particular newness may surprise you somewhat. And of course, as always, you don’t have to use the idea if you don’t want to. You are not obligated by me to use it. You decide whether or not to use such an idea. The 1st illustration is from episode 9.24 ‘Lost Our Lisa’ from animated tv show ‘The Simpsons(1998)’. The episode is available for purchase for about 2 dollars Standard Definition from Amazon.com, and according to Amazon Video, the illustration starts 12 minutes and 38 seconds into the episode. Here is a quote:

Lisa:-‘Oh. I didn’t know Springfield had a Russian district. (Lisa approaches a man playing chess.) Excuse me. Can you tell me how to get to the museum?’

Man playing chess:-(I’m assuming the man is seemingly talking back in another language, even though the question given to the man was in English) ‘My pleasure. It’s six blocks that way. (Lisa runs away.) Hey, she went the wrong way.’

Of course, one obvious interpretation of that illustration is that Lisa misunderstood what that man said, since the episode translates to us what the man actually said to Lisa. However, the translation, refurbished for advice of course, I am trying to offer you is what Lisa believed that man was doing. Lisa believed that she was being contemplationally attacked by that man, which is why she yelled and ran away from him.

The 2nd illustration is from the comedy movie ‘This is 40’ starring Leslie Mann as Debbie and Ryan Lee as Joseph. Before I continue, I want to say that you use this idea when you are having trouble sleeping because of mild to moderate instigation. That means that this 2nd illustration may easily be made fun of, but when you are in an actual situation that you are having trouble sleeping, then this illustration may come in handy. This 2nd illustration is also from a comedy movie, so you may have to refurbish it a bit in order to more seriously use it. The streaming Standard definition rental for movie ‘This is 40’ is about 3 dollars, and according to Amazon Video, the illustration starts 1 hour, 8 minutes, and 40 seconds into the movie, and of course the illustration is refurbished with inapproprieities removed. Of course, you can use, refurbished, more of the illustration that is available in the movie. I just want to offer you a quote that may last a little longer when exposed to certain criticisms. In this illustration, Debbie is talking to 13 year old Joseph. Here is the quote:

Debbie:-‘I will come down here and I will hurt you.’

Joseph:-(Sobs) ‘Okay, I’m sorry.’

Debbie:-‘Wait a minute. Hey, hey, hey! Wait, You’re not…Are you crying?’

Joseph:-‘Just let me go.’

Debbie:-‘Oh, my…’

So, in this 2nd illustration, Debbie was contemplationally attacking Joseph, for example, when Debbie said to Joseph quote-‘I will come down here and I will hurt you’, causing Joseph to cry.

The 3rd illustration is also from the same movie ‘This is 40’. In the illustration, Debbie and her husband Pete(Paul Rudd) are responding to a grievance made by Catherine(Melissa McCarthy), who is Joseph’s mom. All 3 are talking to Vice Principal Laviati(Joanne Baron). You can use the entire scene. Just take out the bad language and refurbish it in relation to advice. I’m just going to quote one part of it. That illustration, refurbished, starts 1 hour, 32 minutes, and 58 seconds into the episode. Here is the quote:

Catherine:-‘Maybe if I looked more like this fake couple. Looks like they’re in a bank commercial. That’s what you look like. Like you’re a bank commercial couple.’

Vice Principal Laviati:-‘None of this talk is productive.’

According to my understanding of the movie, even though Joseph did do something to Debbie’s daughter’s Facebook page, Debbie and Pete also clearly overreacted about it. They’re not going to admit to Vice Principal Laviati that they overreacted, because that would mean that some sort of penalty would occur. And so, what they chose to do instead was to completely lie about the inappropriate actions they imposed upon Joseph and Catherine. And when Catherine sensed that Joseph and Catherine were not admitting to their indiscretions, she felt like she was being contemplationally attacked, and had to defend herself. Unfortunately, Catherine was not prepared to defend herself in a context that would give her better results, and her efforts to defend herself caused her to lose the grievance against Debbie and Pete.

And now, I am going to combine the 3 illustrations with the ‘excessive validation’ idea created from that Enrique Iglesias music video ‘Be With You’ to offer you a new idea, and here is the new idea’s meaning: An instigator may improperly contemplationally attack you in a context that causes you to depend upon an excessively hasty sense of validation. Such an effect may cause you to have difficulty sleeping. I call this instigation ‘Attack too much validate’. There are other names you may try, like ‘Attack excessive validate’, ‘Fight too much validate’, or ‘Fight excessive validate’. For example, you may contemplationally use the phrase ‘Attack too much validate’ to help you identify the cause as to why you are having difficulty sleeping because of a particular instigation. Also, around the same time, and I am assuming you are on your bed as this is happening, you may also choose to recall the music ‘Let Me Go’ and ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’.

Attack too much validate:

So, if you choose to think about the 3 illustrations mentioned, it is illustrated that 3 people were contemplationally attacked. One reason why I thought you may have a little difficulty using such an idea is because of the use of the word ‘attack’. It is possible that you may not have used such a word in this context before, since you are presumed to be the innocent person experiencing the instigation. And that is one reason why the instigation caused you to have difficulty sleeping: Since the instigator suspects? that you believe that you are innocent, how you evaluate your innocence may cause you to be vulnerable to a contemplation induced attack, and you may have difficulty identifying such an attack because of how you evaluate your innocence. Well anyway, I hope this idea helps. Oh, and in regards as to using the word ‘fight’, have you ever heard of the phrase ‘Don’t fight me on this one.’ ?  The word ‘fight’ in this list is used the same as the word ‘attack’: either it may be said that the instigator is ‘attacking’ you, or it may be said that the instigator is ‘fighting’ you. I thought the variety may help you invent your own extrapolated meaning.

[After I proofread and finish this idea, I’m going to take a break. I’m going to start the next part of this idea next week, maybe this coming Friday, but more likely next Saturday. So, if you are there, then I’ll see you then.
