Wishlist #1084

4/7/2017

Bienvenue!(According to the internet, ‘Bienvenue!’ is French for ‘Welcome!’) First, I want to say that I still want to make efforts to ‘taper off(to reduce gradually)’ from the ‘Not agree to address’ list(Wishlist #1081). Therefore, I want to introduce to you to what I call ‘fundamental’ concepts, 2 of them, called ‘Language’ and ‘Not able to conceptualize’. These 2 concepts are designed to help you make more ideas to help you with your instigation issues. They should give you more room to contemplationally work with. To give those 2 ideas some circulation, such as a pinball causing the pinball machine to make sound and lights and other things a pinball machine does when it is played, I want to introduce to you in the beginning an idea called ‘Lack exert’. The idea is based on the refurbished use of movie ‘Unfinished Business’ starring Vince Vaughn as Dan Trunkman.

Since I spent some time already looking for a music video for this list, I want to start that explanation tomorrow. Now, after that explanation, I want to finally finish the last 2 ‘Proof’ ideas, the ‘Not my effort of understanding’, and ‘Lean’. So, before I stop typing/close this list for today, I want to offer you the music video ‘What Makes You Beautiful’. According to www.wikipedia.org, the song is by English-Irish boy band ‘One Direction’. According to wikipedia, the song was released by Syco Records on 11 September 2011, and it reached number one in several countries.

Now, for those of you who choose to watch music video ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ for the 1st time, I realize that, since this is instigation advice, if you watch that video, for the boys, teenager males, and adult men, you may imagine a female, let’s say from your school or job, that may have instigated you in the past, you may imagine her feeling that she is beautiful. I’m telling you this now before you see the music video, because, to me, that is what the boy band ‘One Direction’ is doing: The song and music video seem to encourage girls and women to feel beautiful about themselves. I just want to let you know that in advance, if this is going to be the 1st time you choose to watch music video ‘What Makes You Beautiful’. See you tomorrow!

Sorry, I forgot to type in how to watch music video ‘What Makes You Beautiful’. You can watch it for free from www.youtube.com. Just search for phrase ‘one direction what makes you beautiful’ in youtube, and it should be the 1st selection offered, the one with over 845 million views. I don’t think the song and video is generalistically inappropriate. If you read the wikipedia article, I believe the person who made the lyrics said that he made it based on saying that his wife was beautiful. So, I don’t think generalistically that there should be a problem for teenagers and adults to watch it. However, if you think that such compliments made by teenage boys to teenage girls interpreted by kids is inappropriate for kids, then of course you can choose not to use the video. I know that the intent use of this advice is for many schools of thought. In other words, the music video may be inappropriate for kids who interpret it as inappropriate. Therefore, if you believe the music video is inappropriate, then of course don’t use it. See you tomorrow!

Lack exert:

Before I start explaining fundamental ideas ‘Language’ and ‘Not able to conceptualize’, like I said before, I want to give those 2 ideas some circulation with another idea I call ‘Lack exert’. I got the idea by refurbishing the plot of movie ‘Unfinished Business(2015)’ starring Vince Vaughn as Dan Trunkman and Sienna Miller as Chuck Portnoy. The idea ‘Lack exert’ is basically from the refurbished for advice illustration that, according to Amazon Video rental, starts 57 seconds into the movie, when Miss Portnoy says to Dan Trunkman quote-‘Just…Dan, just walk with me.’ I used that entire scene, with the inapproprieities removed, of Dan talking to Miss Portnoy, but when Miss Portnoy said to Dan to walk with her to her office, that pretty much explains it. That’s when I imagined 4 or so weeks ago Miss Portnoy allowing Dan in that illustration to talk to her, to go with her into her office, to offer Dan a circumstance where he can reasonably express his concerns, preferably in Miss Portnoy’s office. Now, what happens usually when management ‘opens up’ to their employees (to reiterate, I just imagined this for idea ‘Lack exert’) is that the employees use such a situation to express their concerns in a way that causes management, such as Miss Portnoy, to experience a lacking sense of exerting. So, when Miss Portnoy said to Dan to walk with her to her office, she is making an effort to allow Dan to reasonably express his concerns, knowing that, by doing so, she will probably experience a lacking sense of exerting caused by Dan’s choice to express his concerns.

Off topic, I want to say, in a realistic sense, not an imagined sense, that, whether you are in management or not, I believe it is useful to have the ability to reasonably allow others to express their concerns, and what Miss Portnoy did, allowing Dan to express his concerns, is a convenient example of making an effort to allow others to express their concerns, even though you will probably experience a lacking sense of exerting when you do so.

So, to make this ‘Lack exert’ idea useful for the 2 ideas ‘Language’ and ‘Not able to conceptualize’, I gave that illustration more ‘back story(a narrative providing a history or background context, especially for character or situation in a literary work, film, or dramatic series)’. In this imagined story, Miss Portnoy knew that Dan was eventually going to quit and make his own company, and so she was going to do something that she had never done before, she was going to help Dan succeed. This reminds me of the intro for sci-fi tv show ‘Mutant X(2001)’, starring John Shea as Adam Kane. According to Wikipedia, Kane has stolen The Creator’s database. Out of the entire series, I only watched a few minutes from it. I remember Adam Kane talking to what I think is one of his students, prepping her up to use her powers to kick a door. What Miss Portnoy was trying to do was like The Creator from tv series ‘Mutant X’ allowed Kane to do, to allow an employee to leave the company and be self sustaining elsewhere. Miss Portnoy believes that it’s very unlikely that Dan’s efforts will create a stable business. He will eventually file for bankruptcy. So, Miss Portnoy fired Timothy McWinters(Tom Wilkinson), but with the agreement that, when Dan quits, McWinters will join Dan’s company, and she will be able to help Dan through him. Some agreement was made, and sure enough, after Dan quit, he met McWinters, and Dan hired him. I can’t explain how Dan hired Mike Pancake(Dave Franco). It’s just an imagined story. The explanation is not important.

So, much of what happened is pretty much what Miss Portnoy thought would happen. With the help of McWinters, Dan pursued an opportunity related to McWinters, and McWinters allowed Dan to acquire that opportunity. For more story depth, you can also use that conversation Dan had with McWinters while he was living as part of some museum exhibit. The scene starts according to Amazon Video rental 1 hour and 50 seconds into the movie, when Miss Portnoy explained to Dan what she means when she identifies him as ‘The Flower Girl’.

So, to be fair, since Dan is not aware of any of this, I recommend you see Dan in this imagined story as a little like Adam Kane from the sci-fi series ‘Mutant X’, and Miss Portnoy as mostly ‘The Creator’.

So, here is a question for this advice: ‘What does all this have to do with ‘Lack exert?’ Even though I imagined that story, I don’t believe, in the context that it is just a movie, that Miss Portnoy was just going to willingly feel an abundant amount of a lacking sense of exerting just to allow Dan to predictably make a public, big issue about quitting. I believe Miss Portnoy needed something logically to allow that to happen. And that’s where fundamental ideas ‘Language’ and ‘Not able to conceptualize’ come in. Although these 2 ideas may not be the actual ideas Miss Portnoy used to experience a lacking sense of exerting from Dan, that imagined situation helped me give a certain existence for those 2 ideas.

Language:

Here is the illustration I used to create the idea ‘Language’. It is in movie ‘Price Check(2012)’, and the illustration has actor Finn Donoghue portraying Henry Cozy. According to www.imdb.com, Finn was born January 10, 2008. Maybe he was 3 years old when that scene was made. The scene also has actress Parker Posey as Susan Felders. According to Amazon Video rental, the illustration starts 1 hour, 13 minutes, and 5 seconds into the movie. While Miss Posey is sleeping on a couch, Henry barks? at Miss Posey, startling her to wake up. (She uses a little inappropriate language when she wakes. Just take that out.) She responds to Henry by putting her hand on Henry’s shoulders and calmly saying quote-‘Don’t do that.’

Here is the idea I made for ‘Language’. I made the basic explanation while I was walking to the bus stop. I imagined certain instigations giving you a ‘Rubik’s Cube’, a 3-D combination puzzle. There’s an explanation in wikipedia. It looks like a square box. Some people some years ago even had a small version of it on their keychains. Anyway, in the imagined scenario, certain instigations ‘give’ you a Rubik’s Cube’ to solve, and you would try to solve it. The Rubik’s Cube represents a language that certain instigations encourage you to use by using some sort of sense of resolving as encouragement. It is my belief that, when most people experience such an instigation in public areas, non essential chosen lifestyle areas, they will use that language.

The solution I created for such situations involving mostly mild instigations, and of course this idea is used to help you make ideas to help you with your instigation issues at your reasonable convenience, is that you should have the option to at least try to not need to use the language imposed upon you by such instigations. The best example to help you change that language is from the movie ‘Price Check’. In that scene I mention earlier, Henry barked? at Susan. So, absurdly said, instead of Susan using that proposed language by barking back at Henry, Susan instead used a different language. She chose to use the ‘adult communicating with 3 year old boy’ language, and instead of barking back at Henry, she placed her arm on Henry and calmly said-‘Don’t do that’. Now, of course, one may think that adults do that easily, communicate with children with a certain obvious consideration. That’s what this advice is counting on.

Now, when you are making ideas to help you with experiencing instigation at your reasonable convenience, and eventually while and soon after experiencing instigation within reason, to help you change the language to something more reasonable, I recommend using the official trailer for the movie ‘Snowden(2016)’, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Edward Snowden. Just go to www.youtube.com, search for phrase ‘snowden trailer’, click the selection that has over 13 million views, and the illustration is when Snowden is moving one of the tumblers in his Rubik’s Cube with one finger. That scene, according to that trailer, starts 1 minute and 48 seconds, and it lasts for less than 1 second. However, if you want to, you can see the moments before that scene that shows you why he has that Rubik’s Cube. I didn’t see the movie myself. I’m only using the trailer. So, if the trailer changes, you can always go to the movie itself and look for that scene.

When you reference that scene in your mind, the way I do it is that I remember Snowden flicking his Rubik’s Cube with one of his fingers, and then I see the name of the movie ‘Snowden’. In fact, when you 1st start using this idea, you may want to call this idea ‘Snowden’ instead of ‘Language’, since the word ‘Snowden’ may have a more relevant conceptualization use.

Not able to conceptualize:

As much as I would want to finish this idea in 1 day, I want to get something to eat, delete some tv shows and movies to make more room in the Tivo? player I’m using, and other stuff. So, next week, maybe even this coming Friday, I’ll be able to finish this list, and finally start explaining those 2 ‘Proof’ bookmarks, the ‘Not my effort of understanding’ and ‘Lean’ one. Also, if you like ‘Doctor Who’, the new episodes according to google are FINALLY going to be shown April 15. Also, there’s that Doctor Who spinoff ‘The Class’, which will also be shown April 15. I don’t know what’s that like yet. So, I’ll see you next week!

It’s my idea:

Bonjour!(a greeting in French) Before I begin explaining idea ‘Not able to conceptualize’, I see an opportunity here for your benefit to explain again bookmark ‘It’s my idea’. I believe I explained this idea in amazon.com, but like I said before, you are not obligated to read the lists I made in amazon in order to understand these ideas. I’ve tried to make sure that reading this blog is ‘all inclusive’. It’s not dependant upon the lists I have made in amazon. This explanation should be short.

The reason I have decided to explain ‘It’s my idea’ now is because of the positive effectiveness of the idea I have typed in this list, the ‘language’ idea. Even though I am only imagining it, it is my belief that the kids who have chosen to use the ‘language’ idea are, so to speak, flying a very high kite(a light frame covered with some thin material, to be flown in the wind at the end of a long string). So, while the obvious epiphany is still experienced by the kids, I was thinking that such a moment is a good time to introduce again the concept of ‘It’s my idea’.

Basically, ‘It’s my idea’ means that, if you have chosen to use an idea from this blog, it is now ‘your’ idea. It’s your understanding, your creativity, your upgrades. It’s all you. Here is a refurbished illustration example, and of course it’s not every example, of what I am talking about. The refurbished illustration is from episode 10.2 ‘Reichenbach’ from sci-fi tv show ‘Supernatural(2014)’. In the illustration, a girl called Frankie(Erica Tremblay) is talking about dreams to Castiel(Misha Collins). The scene according to Amazon Video starts 20 minutes and 1 second into the episode. To see it for free, you can go to www.youtube.com and search for phrase ‘castiel talks to girl’, and there’s a selection called ’10×02 Cas talks with a little girl’. Here is a quote:

Frankie:-‘Did you have a good dream?’

Castiel:-‘I don’t really dream.’

Frankie:-‘Why? One time, I dreamed that my snot was a rocket, and it shot into space and knocked down the stars to make room for more rockets!’

Frankie may sound like a girl that doesn’t know some of these ideas, but the gist(the main or essential part of a matter) of it is still there, if you refurbish that illustration. After all, nobody knows everything.

Not able to conceptualize:

OK! Here’s the beginning illustration for this idea. The illustration offered is from a movie, and will be refurbished to explain what I mean by ‘Not able to conceptualize’. It’s also the actual, original illustration I used to invent the idea, as far as I can remember. The illustration is from movie ‘War of the Worlds(2005)’ starring Tom Cruise as Ray Ferrier, and according to Amazon Video rental, it starts 3 minutes and 42 seconds near the beginning of the movie, when Ray was walking down the stairs. He then has a conversation with who I think is his supervisor called Sal(I couldn’t find the actor’s name who portrayed Sal in imdb). Here is a quote:

These are the two main reasons why a person tadalafil online is said to have best results in his erections. It recuperates http://icks.org/n/data/ijks/1482459755_add_file_1.pdf purchase viagra and improves the limit of the female reproductive organ. Do not take more purchase viagra in australia more than your healthcare provider prescribes.levitra is not a regular medication, that you always need to be taken. It is to be noted that the uncontrolled taking letrozole bodybuilders often leads to depression, relationship problems and a loss of a social personality on the inside, the way this condition is complex and varied. If the male impotence drugs online http://www.icks.org/data/ijks/1483475739_add_file_1.pdf viagra overnight usa which you have in your neighborhood drug store. Sal:-‘Ray. Ferrier. Whoa. I need you back in 4 instead of 12. I got half of Korea coming in at noon.'(web site wikipedia’s plot explanation for movie ‘War of the Worlds’ says that Ray is a crane operator longshoreman and offers a link to explain what that is. I didn’t look at the link myself).

Ray:-‘No, no, no, I can’t. I’m on a 12-hour blow. Call Tedesco.’

Sal:-‘Come on. Tedesco can’t move 40 containers in an hour. I got to have somebody who can do double picks.’

Ray:-‘Wish I could help you, Sal.’ It’s the ‘…’ union regulations.’

Sal:-‘Come on. I’m in a position here, Ray.’

Ray:-(laughs)’You remember the union regulations, Sal.’

Sal:-‘You know what your problem is?’

So, what I did with that scene was refurbish it. Instead of Sal talking to Ray(Tom Cruise), Sal is talking to ‘his’ supervisor. So, in this situation, Sal is not going to say to his supervisor quote-‘You know what your problem is?’ Instead, while his supervisor is walking away from a situation that Sal cannot rectify in a preferred context, like the situation Sal was explaining to Ray, when Sal’s supervisor walks away and the only person left on the movie screen to look at is Sal, Sal is looking like he is experiencing some sort of despair. That is the moment I want to show you, the moment that has Sal’s despair looking face. So, according to my story, the reason Sal looks so gloomy is because he cannot create in his mind a preferred conceptualization for that situation he is in. So, instead of using a preferred conceptualization, he commits to the conceptualization that is available to him, and that conceptualization is causing him to experience despair.

Using Sal’s despair immersed face from the story as an example, the 1st part of the solution I offer you and to Sal is to have the option to realize that you may not have a preferred conceptualization for certain situations in your life, and instead of using the conceptualization that is there, like the way Sal is using it, you may instead choose to not use any conceptualization at all. Here is another refurbished illustration of what I mean. In sci-fi movie ‘Supernova(2000)’ starring Angela Bassett as Dr. Kaela Evers, according to Amazon Video rental, the illustration starts 50 minutes and 57 seconds into the movie, when Dr. Evers is talking to a computer interface involving some sort of virtual display. Here is a quote:

Dr. Evers:-‘Define 9th-dimensional matter.’

computer:-‘While mathematics can demonstrate the existence of this matter, I’m afraid human language lacks any vocabulary to describe it.’

To reference this idea conceptually, I recommend using an image presented while the computer was saying that quote. In it’s virtual display, one of the images looks like a potato with many arrows pointing outwards from it. I recommend using that virtual potato when you want to think of this ‘Supernova’ reference. I use this ‘Supernova’ reference to illustrate to myself as an option to consider that there are situations that individuals just don’t have the ability to conceptualize. According to the ‘Supernova’ quote, the computer said-‘I’m afraid human language lacks any vocabulary to describe it.’

This 3rd illustration should ‘win over’ many of the adults who read this blog to encourage them to use this ‘Not able to conceptualize’ idea. The illustration is near end of comic book storyline ‘Sorcerer Kings’. If you don’t have the comic book, you can see the illustration from www.comixology.com. The digital comic book is only about 2 dollars. To view it, just go to www.comixology.com, search for phrase ‘superman batman 84’, and after you buy it, click ‘read it’, and in the comic book reading browser, click ‘Browse Pages’, click page 15, and the illustration is in the upper right hand corner. Click ‘Guided View’, and you can zoom in to that scene. Here is the quote:

Superman:-‘Then why am I still here? I thought everything was supposed to go back to the way it was–‘

Without needing to read the comic book, Superman and the other superheroes once again defeated the bad guys, and what was supposed to happen was that the Earth was supposed to change back to normal. However, Superman using his years of experience could not sense the change. Refurbished for advice, this is the illustration that you can change of course in relation to advice said, that you would probably reference from time to time if you should choose to use this ‘Not able to conceptualize’ idea. Here’s an example: When Superman said that quote-‘Then why am I still here? I thought everything was supposed to go back to the way it was–‘, he didn’t just say it. He used his years of experience to ‘look’ and ‘sense’ a change, but the Earth did not change back. Refurbished for advice, you can use that moment to relate to situations in your life when a preferred conceptualization was not available to you, even though you tried to ‘look’ and ‘sense’ for one with your years of experience. Even Superman was stumped! I recommend that you change how you imagine Superman saying that question. For example, give Superman a more distinctive posture when you see his face as he says that question. If you are worried about Batman, the entire Earth was supposed to change back to normal. That includes Batman. I’m not requiring that you read the ‘Sorcerer Kings’ storyline, but if you do, there are several violent scenes in that comic book that are not used for this advice.

Here are a few recommended uses for idea ‘Not able to conceptualize’. One example is when an instigation and/or inadvertency wants you to conceptualize something that is inappropriate/out of context/ not relevant(along those lines) for you to conceptualize. One illustration I can recall right now is in episode 1.14 ‘The Children’s Hour’ from fantasy tv series ‘Cupid(1998)’ starring Jeremy Piven as Trevor Hale/Cupid. The show ‘Cupid’ is not out on DVD yet that I know of, and I don’t know if it’s streaming anywhere. However, I did find the quote for this idea. It is located in web site www.tv.com when you click ‘Trivia & Quotes’ for the episode ‘The Children’s Hour’. Here is the quote:

Trevor:-‘I’m a friend of Luther’s. Is he here?’

Ellen(Mary Ann Thebus):-‘No, he went to get me some medicated pads for my…’

Trevor:-‘Medicated pads! That’s all the information I need.’

From the quote, you can tell that Trevor chose to not conceptualize what Ellen was explaining to him.

Another example is something I imagined. Suppose that, in your job, the reason that management doesn’t make aware certain expectations to non-managerial employees is because the conceptualizations of such expectations change regularly. For example, if management issued an expectation that had a conceptualization that would change soon, let’s say within a day, the expectation may not be useful after that day because it’s associated conceptualization has changed. That is why certain non managerial employees have learned to interact with certain job expectations without needing certain aspects of such expectations to have a fixed sense of conceptualization. To clarify, here is a refurbished for advice with inapproprieities removed illustration. The illustration is near end of episode 5.11 ‘The 7th Is Made Up Of Phantoms’ from sci-fi series ‘The Twilight Zone(1963)’. If you have Amazon Prime, the episode is included with your Amazon Prime membership for 30 days(at least that’s what the Amazon screen said). According to Amazon Video, the scene starts 23 minutes and 46 seconds near end of episode. Here is a quote:

Capt. Dennett(Robert Bray):-‘Too bad they couldn’t have brought the tank up. It would have helped.’

Lt. Woodard(Greg Morris):-‘Beg pardon, sir?’

Capt. Dennett:-‘Nothing, Lieutenant. I didn’t say anything.’

The highlight of the reference is when Lt. Woodard said-‘Beg pardon, sir?’ Lt. Woodard had difficulty conceptualizing what Capt. Dennett had just said. The highlight is Lt. Woodard’s response for the advice, not the tv show’s specifics as to why he responded in such a way. Lt. Woodard’s response continues after Capt. Dennett says-‘I didn’t say anything.’

[Since it’s now 5:49 PM EST for me, I am going to stop right now. I’m almost finished with this idea. Next week, I might just add a few more things to it, proofread it, close it with the usual disclaimers, and I should have time next week to start explaining ‘Not my effort of understanding’. Also, if you are interested to know this, a friendly reminder that new episodes of ‘Doctor Who’ and the new Doctor Who spinoff ‘The Class’ begins today, April 15. See you next week!

4/21/2017

Greetings! 1st, I want to say that, after watching ‘The Class’, the British ‘Doctor Who’ spinoff for the 1st time last week, I am not recommending it to be used with this list, not for generalistic viewing. To me, it’s starting to look a little like that British tv show ‘Skins(2007+), which was about a group of British teens, and that show has a ‘TV-MA’ rating. I am concerned that ‘The Class’ might start addressing mature issues suitable for older audiences, and not for some kids. Of course, if you watch ‘The Class’ separately from this list, that’s another story. Of course, I may choose later to reference specifially certain episodes of ‘The Class’, refurbished for advice, of course.

I want to clarify further the idea ‘Not able to conceptualize’ today, proofread this list and close it today, so that tomorrow I can start and hopefully finish explaining idea ‘Not my effort of understanding’. So, instead of giving you another example, I want to add more to an already existing one, the one with Sal from the movie ‘War of the Worlds(2005)’, when his face was showing despair. I said that, when his boss walked away in the refurbished story, Sal used the non-preferred conceptualization available to him and experienced despair as a result. To clarify, when you use the idea ‘Not able to conceptualize’, that doesn’t necessarily mean you cannot conceptualize at all. ‘Not able to conceptualize’ relates to preferred conceptualizations that you want to use. For example, in Sal’s case, he was trying to create a conceptualization that would be the solution to his work problem. In the quote I gave you earlier in this list, Sal said quote-‘I got half of Korea coming in at noon.’, and in the new story I offered you, Sal wasn’t able to find a preferred solution to that problem. So, when you experience some mild to moderate instigation, the experienced instigation may also influence what type of solution/s is/are available to you. If you cannot make a preferred solution, you may choose as an option idea ‘Not able to conceptualize’ to check to see that maybe the conceptualization available to you should also not be used by you.

To help clarify the ‘Not able to conceptualize’ idea further, if you choose to, think about the question-‘How was I conceptualizing before this idea?’ Were you ever in Sal’s situation, but involving mild to moderate instigation? Were you in a situation where you could not make a preferred conceptualization, and so instead you used a conceptualization that was influenced by the instigation you experienced, and you experienced a little disappointment because of that use? Well now, if you choose to use this ‘Not able to conceptualize’ idea, you can check to see if the conceptualizations available to you can be used by you with a little more foresight(prudence, discretion).
