Salutations.

It is now 11:47PM EST for me.

I know that, under normal conditions, it’s late for me to start typing. However, I’m using my ‘Memorial Day’ day off, and I already did my laundry early Monday morning. Without the laundry obligation that I would normally have Tuesday morning, I now have more time to type in this blog. This is a rare situation, like February 29. I don’t expect holidays to normally exist on Mondays.

I’m going to explain 2 ‘story ideas’ for idea ‘Attention’ in this list. I should be able to finish explaining both stories, since I have a lot more time than normal. Just to approximate, with breaks of course, I can keep typing until 8:00AM Wednesday morning. That’s about 8 hours available for typing! That includes lots of breaks, to eat, to take naps, etc. I could stop for an hour and then start again, but the chosen limit is 8:00AM.

I’m going to take a short break now, just to relax on my bed. I’ll start typing again soon.

It is now 12:22AM EST for me.

I already found the music video and trailer a few hours ago.

The music video that I watched for the 1st time a few hours ago and recommend for this advice is called ‘Alice Deejay – Better Off Alone (Official Video)’. I found it using the youtube app for the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max streaming device. I’m not able to find the youtube link using my laptop. I think the category was something like ‘dance and electronic’, and that category I can’t find using my laptop and the youtube link. Here is a quote from link junkee.com:

‘ Back in 2016, Meaghan Garvey wrote for MTV about Eurodance nostalgia, noting that songs like ‘Better Off Alone’ and Haddaway’s ‘What Is Love’ weren’t treated at release with the reverence they were now. She describes hearing an “undercurrent of melancholy” throughout them, describing them as “dance tracks built around unanswerable questions”. ‘

Here is a quote from the lyrics:

Do you think you’re better off alone?
Do you think you’re better off alone?
Do you think you’re better off alone?
Do you think you’re better off alone?

Talk to me
Ooh…
Talk to me
Ooh…
Talk to me

To watch the music video in www.youtube.com, search for phrase ‘alice deejay better off alone’, and it should be one of the 1st selections offered, with 284M views! It was published 13 years ago by publisher ‘Alice Deejay’.

Here’s an interpretation of the music video that I recommend to be used for this advice. From time to time, the music video would give short moments of a man whose car broke down somewhere in the desert. Obviously, he should have stayed on the road, but instead he chose to walk on the desert. I’m using that scene as an analogy of someone doing something ‘on his own’, like this quote says:

Do you think you’re better off alone?

The singer is encouraging people who do certain things alone to talk to her, that perhaps advice from her would help. Here a quote:

Talk to me
Ooh…
Talk to me
Ooh…
Talk to me

That’s how I recommend that you interpret those scenes of the man walking in the desert.

And the music video’s view count, 284M views, may indicate to you that the music video and the song may be interesting to watch and listen to.

The movie trailer that I watched earlier today, recommended with inapproprieities removed, is called ‘Don’t Make Me Go’. Here is theselected words quote from wikipedia.org about the movie:

‘ …a single father takes his reluctant teenage daughter on a cross country road trip to find her estranged mother, as he tries to teach her everything she might need to know for the rest of her life along the way. ‘

It’s just a movie. They’re all acting. So, when you watch the trailer, just don’t use the tragic plots of the movie. In my opinion, you may find it interesting to watch a single father Max (John Cho) teach life lessons to his teenage daughter Wally (Mia Isaac) during that drive to meet her mother. I’m only recommending that you watch the trailer for this advice, but the movie, if you choose to, may also be worth watching.

Here’s a partial quote from youtube.com:

‘ …he decides to try and cram all the years of love and support he will miss with his teenage daughter Wally (Mia Isaac) into the time he has left with her. With the promise of long-awaited driving lessons, he convinces Wally to accompany him on a road trip from California to New Orleans for his 20th college reunion, where he secretly hopes to reunite her with her mother who left them long ago. A wholly original, emotional and surprising journey, Don’t Make Me Go explores the unbreakable, eternal bond between a father and daughter from both sides of the generational divide with heart and humor along for the ride. ‘

I found it by selecting in www.youtube.com publisher ‘Prime Video’, select ‘Videos’, then select ‘Popular’. I believe the ‘Popular’ selection showed the video clips that have a high view count. I just kept scrolling down and down until I found that trailer. It’s format was interesting enough to keep me looking.

To watch trailer ‘Don’t Make Me Go’, search in www.youtube.com for phrase ‘don’t make me go’, and it should be one of the 1st selections offered, with 2.1M views. It was published 1 year ago by publisher ‘Prime Video’.

Attention:

It is now 1:34AM EST for me.

I believe I said this in a recent, previous list. The reason I am explaining idea ‘Attention’ is because one of the strategy ideas will denounce/identify how an instigation may use a sense of attention in their instigations. In the next list, I plan to explain, in order, ideas ‘Guilty reply’, ‘Attention involve’, and then ‘Involve reply’ and ‘Recover reply’.(It will make more sense when/if I explain it this coming Monday.) So, ‘Attention involve’ has idea ‘Attention’ in it. I want to offer you some sort of attention idea before I explain idea ‘Attention involve’.

This 1st ‘Attention’ idea is in the form of advice, and it builds up to become an ‘attention’ idea. I guess I’m using this definition for the word ‘attention’ from www.dictionary.com:

‘a capacity to maintain selective or sustained concentration.’

All right. Let’s start with a supposition that you may actually use: Suppose that, for a young person, let’s say a high school teenager, finally decided what type of career he/she will pursue. That person, while interacting with his/her career, will maintain certain expectations, and not deviate from such expectations. That person has already considered the possibility that his/her future boss may have done some things that are unacceptable, but he/she has changed accordingly. As long as he/she maintains his/her expectations, he/she can continue to work for such a boss.

Even if you get such a job, and you plan to maintain your sense of job related expectations, there is still a situation that I describe with a quote from the movie ‘Yes Man(2008)’ starring Jim Carrey as Carl, and Terence Stamp as Terrence. There are mature themes in this movie, so just use the quote and it’s general area that describes it. Don’t use the rest of the movie. The movie is available streaming from Amazon.com, and according to Amazon Video, that scene starts about 16 minutes and 45 seconds into the movie:

Terrence: ‘If the molehill won’t come to Terrence, Terrence will come to the molehill.’

Since you’re still a teenager(the example), it’s possible that you’ll have a job that will give you convenient interaction for the situations in your chosen project participations. In other words, ‘Terrence will come to you.’ And that may take a while to get used to, so that you will continue to honor your personal agreement to yourself. And even then, you may make some compromises along the way, compromises that will be acceptable for you to do, since you will have more to work with, more concepts to use, more resources at your disposal, things that as a teenager may not be available to you in order for that teenager to take them into consideration.(I like that scene in the movie where Terrence is actually running to Carl after saying those words.)

It is now 2:21AM EST for me.

Here is one example of what I’m talking about. It is in episode 1.2 ‘Part Two: Toil and Trouble’ from sci-fi tv series ‘Ahsoka(2023)’. The episode is available from streaming service ‘Disney+’, and it starts about 18 minutes and 39 seconds into the episode:

Ahsoka Tano(Rosario Dawson): ‘Do the facilities still employ any of her former staff?’

Myn Weaver(Peter Jacobson): ‘Of course, there was no other way to remain operational. An Empire doesn’t become a Republic overnight. You will still find ex-Imperials at every level of the New Republic government.’

Hera Syndulla(Mary Elizabeth Winstead): ‘Don’t you worry about their loyalty?’

Myn Weaver: ‘Not at all. The average worker doesn’t care about the nuances of galactic politics. They have loyalty so long as they are paid.’

Here’s a positive example to that ‘in other words’ formula:

‘If the molehill won’t come to Terrence, Terrence will come to the molehill.’

Here’s the exercise set-up that I created for this 1st story for idea ‘Attention’. I’ll set it up 1st, and then I’ll give it a story for you to use it. As usual, these ideas only exist in my mind, and this is the 1st time that I’m explaining them. I’m not typing such ideas anywhere else but here.

The set-up involves listening to the song ‘Magic’ by ‘The Cars’ while inclined on your bed listening to that song using your tv app wearing headphones connected to your tv. The youtube.com link that you’ll be using is found by searching in www.youtube.com for phrase ‘magic 2016’. The youtube link is called ‘Magic (2016 Remaster)’, it has 740K views and was published 8 years ago by publisher ‘TheCarsOfficial’. It’s just the song, not the music video. If you agree to do it, you will be watching it’s logo from your tv while inclined on your bed or chair/sofa and listening to the song ‘Magic’.

Here’s a quote from wikipedia.org about the song:

‘ “Magic” is a song by American rock band The Cars from their fifth studio album, Heartbeat City (1984). It was released on May 7, 1984, as the album’s second single, reaching number 12 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the Billboard Top Tracks chart. ‘

And here is the lyrics to the song ‘Magic’ by ‘The Cars’:

Summer, it turns me upside down
Summer, summer, summer
It’s like a merry-go-round

I see you under the midnight
All shackles and bows
The high shoes
With the cleats a-clicking
A temperamental glow

How could you let me go

Oh, I got a hold on you
Got a hold on you
I’ve got a hold on you tonight

Oh, I got a hold on you
I got a hold on you
(Got a hold on you)
That’s right

(Uh oh, it’s magic)
When I’m with you
(Uh oh, it’s magic)
Just a little magic
You know it’s true
I got a hold on you

Oh, twisted
Under, sideways, down
I know you’re getting twisted
And you can’t calm down
I see you under the midnight
Love darts in your eyes
How far can you take it
‘Til you realize
There’s magic in your eyes

I got a hold on you
Got a hold on you
Got a hold on you tonight

I got a hold on you
Got a hold on you
(Got a hold on you)
Yeah, oh, yeah, oh

(Uh oh, it’s magic)
Uh oh, when I’m with you
(Uh oh, it’s magic)
Uh oh, it’s magic

Just a little bit of
Magic pulls me through
I got a hold on you

I’ve got a hold on you
I got a hold on you
(I got a hold on you)
That’s right, it’s magic

(Uh oh, it’s magic)
Uh oh, it’s magic
When I’m with you

(Uh oh, it’s magic)
Just a little magic
Inside of you

(Uh oh, it’s magic)
Takes a little bit of magic
That’s true
When I’m with you

(Uh oh, it’s magic)
Gotta be magic
Your magic pulls me through

Using phrase ‘summer 2024 official date’ on google.com:

‘ Summer begins with the solstice on Thursday, June 20, 2024, marking the astronomical first day of summer in the Northern Hemisphere. ‘

If you choose to use this finished idea listening to the song ‘Magic’ while inclined on your bed or chair/couch, it should be even more convenient, since ‘summer’ officially is only a few weeks away. Like a quote from the lyrics say:

Summer, it turns me upside down
Summer, summer, summer
It’s like a merry-go-round

It is now 3:10AM EST for me.

Here’s the story that goes with that ‘Magic’ by ‘The Cars’ set up: I just imagined this, of course: For a number of thousands of years, there is this organization that has existed on Earth that I just for explanation sake ‘The Organization’. For a long time, it was known to be the biggest Organization on Earth. Even now, many of it’s members are also Americans. If you are an active member of The Organization, your resource knowhow will be more vast than the general public’s knowhow, even for those in the general public who do things professionally. General public Americans compliment Americans from The Organization. They keep things going, like the movie ‘The Adjustment Bureau(2011)’, except with more variety and without the paranoia ‘The Adjustment Bureau’ movie shows.

One normal American company encouraged their employees to participate in a ‘lip-synching’ competition using the song ‘Magic’ by ‘The Cars’. The company agreed to use the program created and fortified by ‘The Organization’ for this lip synching competition. You don’t have to participate with the requirement of it being a competition, but it will still be judged as if it was in a competition. If you choose to participate, the music ‘Magic’ by ‘The Cars’ will be played, and all of the performers, all of the people involved with the competition will be members of ‘The Organization’. They will be using some of their unique resources to create that competition. Their dancers will respond to your singing and body movements. It should be a unique experience for you.

To help you imagine the experience, I recommend that you watch selected scenes from episode 5.10 ‘Bloody Celestial Karaoke Jam’ from fantasy tv series ‘Lucifer(2021)’. I’m using some of it’s show context. The episode is available streaming from Amazon.com, and according to Amazon Video, the 1st selected scene starts 8 minutes and 20 seconds into the episode:

Lucifer Morningstar(Tom Ellis): ‘Wha… what just happened?’

8 minutes and 51 seconds into the episode:

Lucifer: ‘Well, the singing and the dancing was a bit of a giveaway.’

So, according to that episode’s rules, only certain people will remember the ‘singing and the dancing’.

To help you imagine singing to the song ‘Magic’ by ‘The Cars’, I recommend watching the scene when an edited version of the song ‘Just the Two of Us (Grover Washington Jr. song)’ is being sung and danced to by those in the vicinity. That scene starts about 44 minutes and 9 seconds into the episode. Like in that scene earlier quoted, only a certain ‘those’ will remember the singing and the dancing. Not everyone who did all of that singing and dancing will remember that they did it.

If you choose to use the set-up, when you begin, just to start, you don’t have to keep thinking about it, I recommend you use character Cordelia Chase(Charisma Carpenter) from tv series ‘Angel(2001)’, the way she looked in 2001, to give you a quick orientation just before you begin singing the song ‘Magic’ with ‘The Organization’ dancers. As a reference, since I only purchased a few episodes from Amazon.com, I recommend that you purchase/rent streaming episode 2.7 ‘Disharmony’ from tv series ‘Angel(2001)’ so that you can watch it’s music intro. That begins about 1 minute and 22 seconds into the episode. That music intro contains scenes of character Cordelia Chase, portrayed by actress Charisma Carpenter, so that you know what she looks like. In one scene during that music intro, she is holding a paper that has the words ‘INVOICE’ printed on it. And, of course, don’t use the inappropriate scenes in that music intro for this advice. You’ll probably see it, just don’t use it.

For example, you’re walking to that place, let’s say it’s an obvious stage, inside or outside, you can imagine either/or/both, where the singing and dancing will take place. As you are walking towards it and you are just about to sing that song ‘Magic’ by ‘The Cars’, Cordelia Chase from the year 2001(not time travel, you’re imagining that character, how she looked then.) is giving you a quick verbal orientation just before you begin singing and moving with The Organization dancers. You don’t have to specifically hear what she’s saying, just imagine an intentionally ambiguous verbal orientation from her. You can add specific words to what she is saying to you, and you can always change those words when you imagine it again.

OK, a little ‘after the fact’. After the employees that have chosen to dance and sing to it have done so, let’s choose 3 of them: These are the top 3 that have been chosen based on popularity based on their views. I don’t know exactly how the view score is determined. 2 of the 3 people who have the highest view scores are 2 men from management. If you imagine using that company’s intranet, and an illustration on one screen is provided, 2 of those men from management are presented with their own small windows, just to identify that they are the 2 highest that work for the company.

I forgot to mention that the company hired a ‘ringer’ to participate, a professional singer and dancer, to participate. I imagined this person to be Camila Cabello. Here is a quote from wikipedia.org about her:

‘ Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao (/kəˈmiːlə kəˈbeɪoʊ/;[1] Latin American Spanish: [ˈkaɾla kaˈmila kaˈβeʝo esˈtɾabao]; born March 3, 1997)[2] is an American singer and songwriter.[3] She rose to prominence as a member of the pop girl group Fifth Harmony, which became one of the best-selling girl groups of all time. While in the group, Cabello began to establish herself as a solo artist with the release of her collaborative singles “I Know What You Did Last Summer” (with Shawn Mendes) and “Bad Things” (with Machine Gun Kelly)—the latter peaked at number four on the US Billboard Hot 100. She left Fifth Harmony in late 2016. ‘

Years ago, I saw her in an MTV episode of TRL. I couldn’t find it in youtube.com. Some sort of test was shown, a person on screen performing some sort of basic dance maneuver, and when Camila Cabello performed that dance maneuver, she passed with flying colors. So, based on that performance, I chose her to be in this imagined idea.

When Camila Cabello performed ‘Magic’ by ‘The Cars’ with The Organization dancers, it was like she was on that ‘Secret Wars’ planet, based on Marvel comics. That’s the one when The Beyonder gathered a bunch of superheroes, Galactus, etc. to be on this planet that he created, and everyone involved were able to use their powers in a sort of newly experienced ideal level. Thor, for example, really enjoyed using his powers while he was on that planet. Imagined, it felt like Camila Cabello was performing on that planet. She was really showing off her singing and dancing as it is presented with The Organization dancers. She received the highest view count presented from that company intranet. It made sense that most of the employees watched her perform ‘Magic’ by ‘The Cars’ with ‘The Organization dancers’.

So, when using the ‘set up’, for example, you’re on your bed, there’s a pillow that allows your head to be in an upright position, to allow yourself to see that ‘Magic’ logo as you are listening to the song ‘Magic’ by ‘The Cars’. You are on that stage, or that pre-prepared place. Even though the original song is playing, you simply also use your own voice to go with the original singer’s voice. You can move your body reasonably somewhat as you are imagining doing that song and dance. You can also imagine, in short moments, ‘The Organization dancers’ dancing alongside you, like that 5.10 ‘Bloody Celestial Karaoke Jam’ episode illustrates. Just imagine dancing/benefitting your own way. You don’t have to compete with the others.

It is now 4:25AM EST for me.

I am going to close this list now. I’m choosing to not add the 2nd ‘Attention’ idea in this list. This coming Monday, I will start explaining the ‘Strategy ideas’, unless I change my mind. So, if you are there this coming Monday, I’ll see you then.
